Morning Walk

I take a long walk every morning—sometimes in the city, sometimes in nature. For me it's exercise, an opportunity to sort my thoughts and creative development time. This body of work starts with ideas gathered and developed on these walks, presented in a way that borrows from painting, sculpture and building to create abstract, dimensional pieces.

I often work in reclaimed wood as it is such a versatile medium and gives me the ability to express shape and texture. Plus I enjoy giving a durable, natural material a new life.

After earning a BA, I began a career in marketing. During a sabbatical, I spent every waking minute studying various art forms. I never returned to marketing and began my career as a full time artist. Over the past two decades I have worked extensively in glass, metal, stone, mixed media and wood. My work is currently represented by galleries in SLC and Park City, Utah; Cincinnati, Ohio; and
