Authors Live: Rick Steves
Public Lecture with Q&A: 7-9:00 pm
Book Signing to follow public lecture
Please join travel authority, Rick Steves, as he shares expert tips on European travel with the public. Steves is renowned for his public television series, Rick Steves’ Europe, his public radio program, Travel with Rick Steves, and his best-selling guide book series.
Steves advocates independent travel and encourages people to become “temporary locals” wherever they visit. According to Steves’ guidelines, travellers should steer off the beaten path and visit locations away from popular tourist destinations. Steves has been travelling Europe extensively since 1973 and has a wealth of information to share.
Books by Rick Steves will be available for sale at the Library Store store preceding the event, and at the public lecture as well. More information on Steves and his 20 Cities in 20 Days tour can be found here
The lecture begins at 7:00 p.m. in the Main Library Auditorium. Auditorium seating is limited. Tickets will be released on February 18 at all library locations and distributed on a first come, first served basis, limited to two tickets per person.
Non-Ticket Holder Information
We will have a wait-line available for people without tickets, from which we will seat starting at 6:45pm. Seating will be limited, so arrive early. If seating in the auditorium is not available, there will be a live-stream of the lecture in an overflow room. A public reception/signing with Rick Steves will follow the lecture.
