The Friends of The City Library’s Semi-Annual Used Book Sale begins this Thursday

SALT LAKE CITY, April 8, 2014 — Thousands of books, movies, and CDs will be on sale at bargain prices at the Spring Used Book Sale held by the Friends of the Salt Lake City Public Library. The sale begins at 3pm on Thursday, April 10, and continues during regular City Library hours through Tuesday, April 15, in the Lower Urban Room of the Main Library, 210 East 400 South. Prices start at $1 for paperback books, $2 for hardcovers, and continue to drop as the sale progresses. A great selection of vintage, collectible, bestseller, and like-new books are individually priced and cost a bit more, but are still great bargains.

The Friends of The City Library host two large book sales at the Main Library every year in April and October, a half-day sale at the Downtown Farmers Market (Saturday, July 19, 2014), and special mini-sales throughout the year. For five decades, the Friends of the Salt Lake City Public Library have been forwarding initiatives to support the library system of Utah's capital city. By spearheading fundraising efforts, volunteering, and advocacy, the Friends are a vital sister organization to The City Library.
