Las Posadas is a religious observance celebrated in Mexico and parts of Central America. Loosely translated as “the lodging,” it is a nine-day reenactment of the journey taken by Joseph and Mary to find shelter before the birth of Jesus.
The Chapman Branch’s Las Posadas event will feature joyful singing, dance performances, refreshments, and a children’s lesson and craft session that will help them understand how people around the world celebrate the Christmas holiday in different ways.
