Some people overextend themselves financially during the holidays in the course of shopping for gifts for friends and family. Take control of your finances in the New Year with this introductory course in personal finance management. The course will be presented by Martha Wunderli of, who will help attendees learn the critical life skill of managing their spending. This course is intended for people who are struggling to stick to a budget on a limited income, for those who are looking for some new ideas on how to make their buck go further, or for those just looking for a refresher.

Penny Savers, a budget workshop for kids, will take place in one of the adjacent conference rooms. Children will learn the importance of budgeting and saving money—it’s an event for the whole family.
