    Marking the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death, "First Folio! The Book That Gave Us Shakespeare" is a nationwide, touring exhibition. The wonderful book in this exhibition, the 1623 First Folio, includes 36 of Shakespeare's plays, 18 of which were originally printed only in the Folio.

The Teen Zone is a space made just for ages 12–18 that is open every Monday, Thursday, and Friday.


Board Meetings are open to the public. Monthly meetings of the Salt Lake City Public Library Board of Directors are regularly scheduled on the fourth Monday of every month at 4pm in the Board Room of the Main Library located at 210 East 400 South. Occasionally, a monthly board meeting may be scheduled for a different date, time, or location. Exhibits are chosen by a staff committee according to the needs and interests of the community, the variety of shows, the artistic quality of the works, and the suitability of format for each library's physical space. Submissions are accepted twice annually: during the two-week periods prior to April 10 and October 10.


Teen artists and art instructors, submit your or your student's portfolio to be featured at The City Library! We are always on the lookout for original art exhibitions for the Main Library's Canteena Space on Level 2, and welcome submissions year-round.
